A Wedding + Event Venue Quiz

Where would you like to get married?*

Straight-line distance from city center.

What would you like the venue to host?*

Ceremony - The venue will host just the wedding ceremony.

Reception - The venue will host just the wedding reception.

Ceremony + Reception - The venue will host both the wedding ceremony and reception. Both events are typically held in separate areas or involve a room flip in-between the ceremony and reception.

Rehearsal Dinner - A rehearsal dinner is generally a seated dinner held the night before the wedding.

Welcome Party - A welcome party is generally a cocktail-style pre-wedding celebration designed to kick off the festivities, especially for those traveling from out of town.

How many guests do you expect?*

Please use the number of guests expected to attend, not the number of guests invited. As a rule of thumb, about 80% of guests invited to a wedding will attend. Attendance rates will be lower for weddings that require travel, have large guest lists, and have dates during peak wedding season due to scheduling conflicts.

What style of event would you like?

Cocktail Style - Cocktail Style events have seating for approximately 50% of guests. Generally there are catering stations or a buffet in addition to passed Hors D'Oeuvres. Cocktail Style is the most common style of wedding in New Orleans.

Seated / Plated Dinner - At Seated / Plated Dinner events there is assigned seating for 100% of guests. Dinner is served individually or family style at each table.

Seated Buffet - At Seated Buffet events there is seating for 100% of guests. There may or may not be assigned seating. Guests will get dinner from the buffet on their own or when called by table.

What type of venue do you want?

Please choose any type of venue you are interested in.

The venue types below are based on the types of venues in the location you have choosen. Other locations may have other types of venues.

What event setting would you like?

Please choose any event settings you are interested in.

What is your overall wedding budget?

Your overall event budget should include the venue, catering, beverage service, flowers, music, cake, attire, photography / videography, invitations, hair / makeup, decorations, coordinator / planner...

We ask for your overall event budget because not all venues provide the same amenities, so having an idea of an overall budget will help us calculate each score specifically for you.

For example: If you are expecting 200 guests and have an overall budget of $30,000 and a venue is $15,000 but does not provide any catering or bar, that venue will score lower than a venue that does provide those amenities at that price.
